The history of the Mercy Mountain Boys is intertwined with the lives of three men who have come full circle to this place in time. The band consists of Earl Green, Mitch Sands and Donny Weatherford, whose chemistry together brings us a truly unique group. They in an up to 3 hour show will bring you Christian, Country and Bluegrass music, laced with side splitting comedy. MMB has been awarded Male Group and Artist of the year for 2007 and 2008. Vocals - Rhythm Guitar
Earl started out in 1975 performing and until now has garnered awards for Lead Vocalist, Guitar Player and part of many group awards. He has become an accomplished song writer and writes a lot of MMB’s music. Four of his songs have been chart songs in various genres. Most notably Earl sang for “The Reps” in the 1980s.
Earl is married, has a son and they live in Lake City, FL.

Mitch has been pursuing his musical career for many years, playing in high school where he also was a bull rider in the rodeo. Mitch is a songwriter also writing many of MMB’s songs. He’s also a very accomplished musician playing guitar, banjo, fiddle, mandolin and dobro. Working with many of Country Music’s legends in his music hall has helped him hone his vocal skills and is second to none. He was awarded Baritone, Instrumentalist of the year 2 years running.

Donny was born in Winter Haven, FL. Growing up with music, it has become his passion. Donny has been on the road since he was 14 yrs old playing drums for "The Reps” passing up chances to play with some of countries biggest acts. He later moved on to other bands until with MMB he moved up front and took over the tenor part. Donny being a studio player also plays acoustic bass and is a killer “juice harp” player. He has been awarded tenor and bass player of the year. He resides in Lake City, FL.

Mitch Rogers is a true Florida native and has made the North Central Florida area his home for the last 40 years. He has been singing since before he can remember, started playing guitar around 12 years old and later added drums, piano and bass guitar to his list along and along. He has been a studio musician and played with several bands over the last few decades, and has opened for such artists as Toby Keith, Marty Stuart, John Conley, and multiple others. Mitch has played at the Suwannee River Jam many times as well. He joined the Mercy Mountain Boys in 2008 as a bass player. He and his wife Angel live in Lake City. Mitch has four children and four grandchildren and his musical legacy continues to thrive in his family.

Jerry Guy is well known in music circles across America, in North Florida, Tampa and Nashville. Jerry began his career in music at age 14 when he signed on with the Herold White Band and others like Trilly Cole, traveled for many years. He continued to play on the road and later with many other bands as a session player in Nashville, traveling the US with famous country artists. A Live Oak resident, Jerry plays lead guitar for the Westwood Baptist Church Choir. Jerry also plays Steel Guitar as well as Lead Guitar in with many North Florida bands when a successful, expert career musician/singer is needed. Jerry is also the owner/operator of Angel Video Productions and Photography Services which you can find online. This is Jerry’s third year serving as a judge for the Country Showdown at the Spirit of Suwannee Music Park.
